I also really liked Children of Men (and like you, cried but didn’t resent it.) I reviewed it in my blog too if you want to compare notes :)

I love your blog, by the way. And I got such a good laugh after reading your cat decryption post– my cat won’t play with anything that I actually spend money on: she just really loves twist-ties and practically invisible pieces of dust.

I keep hearing rumors about “Stardust.” A few years ago I heard rumors about “Death: The High Cost of Living.” The whole thing with Terry Gilliam and “Good Omens” just broke my heart, since that movie would have been wonderful. I loved loved loved “MirrorMask”. Let’s hope this Stardust gets made and…um…doesn’t suck.

I have to admit… my response to hearing about this movie was “eh”. I didn’t much care for the book when I read it, and the book itself seemed like a rip-off of the book White Plague by Frank Herbert. Eh. Plus, it fell under my personal film rating of “Overly Preachy”.

What did you guys see previews for anyway? And did you know that Neil Gaiman’s Stardust is being made into a movie? Now that is something to look forward to…

I loved Children of Men, fantastic film, just a bit disturbed that the date it begins (16/11/27) will be my 50th birthday. Here’s hoping I won’t be celebrating it in a world like that…
